Murphy Magnetic Pickup Speed Transducers MP series

MP series magnetic pickups are used with tachometers, speedswitches and engine controls to give accurate and reliable measurement ofengine speed. The pickup is typically mounted through an engine housing inclose proximity to flywheel or gearwheel teeth. The rotation of the metalgear-teeth past the pickup head induces an AC voltage. The AC signal frequency,which is proportional to engine speed, can be measured by suitable instrumentsor control devices.
